AND NOW.....

Where we are.....

​After Covid, the lockdowns and the associated change to our economic environment, we have extended our remit and helped families in a number of ways dependant on their individual needs and according to our available resources.  At the same time, we have recognised that there are particular groups within the community that are more vulnerable than most and they are our priority.  Consequently, in more recent times, we have:

​

  • continued to run our FB page helping hundreds of families acquire furniture and other household items as well as clothes, baby equipment, etc;

  • provided emergency food supplies;

  • supported victims of domestic violence;

  • provided eye tests and glasses for children in need;

  • provided school shoes;

  • provided basic school supplies; and

  • participated in the Reverse Advent Calendar initiative.

 

Unfortunately, we do not have access to any type of housing programme so although we do our best to support homeless people we can only signpost them to the relevant providers, when it comes to housing.

Everything that we do is reliant on donations and we are so very grateful to each and every donor who helps us to help the most vulnerable here in the Algarve.

 

As well as our amazing individual donors, we are grateful to other charities who support us with provision of specific items.
